Instead of building a separate integration for every Git host, we’ve built a Git integration directly around the filesystem. Collections, specifications, environments, flows, and mocks become plain files that move through branches, pull requests, and CI like any other source code.\nThis foundation also makes agents genuinely useful in Postman. You’ll help make Postman truly Git native by building workflows that feel natural to developers while remaining secure, reliable, and performant at scale.\nYou’ll work at the intersection of product engineering, Git, local filesystems, desktop infrastructure, command-line tooling, synchronization, cloud services, and data systems. You’ll own problems from discovery and design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn secure, performant, and scalable Git-native developer workflows across visual and command-line experiences.\nBuild product features using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Electron, APIs, and databases.\nDesign reliable synchronization that handles conflicts, concurrency, retries, interrupted operations, and partial failures without compromising user data.\nSolve cross-platform problems involving Git, filesystems, permissions, processes, workers, and file watching across macOS, Windows, Linux, and WSL.\nImprove performance for large repositories, deep file trees, data-intensive operations, application startup, and command-line execution.\nStrengthen reliability through automated testing, observability, diagnostics, secure defaults, and clear recovery paths.\nCollaborate with engineering, product, and design to prototype new developer and agentic workflows, make pragmatic trade-offs, and take successful ideas to production.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n2-4 years of software engineering experience, with a track record of building and shipping production features.\nStrong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on experience using React and Node.js.\nExperience working with APIs and databases, including relational or NoSQL systems, data modeling, and secure handling of application data.\nA practical understanding of Git, filesystems, command-line tools, networking, operating systems, and cross-platform development.\nThe ability to design asynchronous systems with sound approaches to concurrency, consistency, error handling, retries, cancellation, and recovery.\nA commitment to testable, maintainable, secure, and performant code, supported by strong computer science fundamentals.\nStrong ownership, product judgment, and communication skills, with the confidence to navigate ambiguity and challenge assumptions constructively.\nWhy Join Us?\nBuild for millions.
