Recent or graduating students are welcome to apply.\nEnterprising self-starters and team players, they have a sense for stories that resonate with a diverse readership. A key asset is the ability to use digital tools to break and develop stories and ideas. Successful candidates will work to tight deadlines covering a wide range of news and other subjects.\n\nThe reporting term is for up to 22 weeks and the reporter will be assigned to the Times & Transcript.\n\nSome weekend and statutory holiday work may be included.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\nDevelop content to engage audiences across several platforms tailored to meet the varying needs of web and mobile audiences.\nHave story ideas daily, a job essential along with the flexibility to quickly pivot to other newsroom priorities to meet changing needs.\nUse social media and other digital tools to uncover what’s breaking and what readers in real time are talking about which quickly needs attention.\nCultivate sources to break stories and help set the news agenda.\nWork with digital teams to create interactive content, including text, photo, video and other multimedia elements that both engage and enrich readers.\n\nWho you are:\nAn experienced reporter or journalism school graduate, or a candidate from a related field.
