These tests include true density, effective density, % volume loss, LOI, LOD, particle size, screen sizing, silicate analysis, feed analysis, bulk borax analysis, and dissolved borax/boric acid analysis.\nAccurately document results of all analyses in lab notebook and in the appropriate tab on the lab analysis Excel spreadsheet.\nProvide written and verbal feedback of test results to affected parties.\nAccurately enter lab data into the Access database and perform interpolation.\nPrepare COA’s and issue to the customer.\nPerform weekly lab supply inventory.\nInform Unit Manager or Plant Manager of issues, problems or concerns of the lab.\nActively support the Joint Health and Safety Committee.\nComplies with all plant/corporate policies\nCover vacations and other absences to maintain minimum staffing requirements.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nParticipates in plant wide HSE, quality and productivity initiatives.\nGeneral knowledge of ISO 9001\nGeneral knowledge of Potters HSE Essentials\nHSE Responsibilities:\nActively participate in established plant safety process/programs such as Behavioral Based Safety (BBS), hazard ID’s, near misses, safety work orders, job safety analysis (JSA), Is It Safe Tour and computer based safety training.\nComplete all required safety training and inspections on time.\nPerform daily tasks with safety as the #1 priority.\nFollow plant safety rules and wear required PPE.\nReport all injuries, illnesses or incidents immediately or as soon as it’s safe to do so. \nCome to work Fit for Duty and be focused on working safely.\nUnderstand and support Potters Essentials Behavioral and Operational Principals.\nPractice good housekeeping and assist with other housekeeping tasks as directed.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nEducation:\nMinimum requirement: Associates degree in the sciences\nPreferred: B.S. degree in the sciences\nExperience:\nTwo (2) to five (5) years in the chemical manufacturing industry, laboratory preferred.\nSkills & Knowledge:\nComputer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office programs.\nAnalytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations and use other mathematical concepts.\nKnowledge of basic laboratory techniques and
