The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go café, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.\nZion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.\nJob Summary:\nThe Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department at Zion National Park Lodge. This position is responsible for a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, employee relations, employee activities, benefits administration, compliance, and training. The HR Generalist will assist the Human Resources Manager in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring that HR policies and procedures align with organizational goals.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening applications, coordinating, and conducting interviews.\nFacilitate the onboarding process and performing orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.\nServe as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing support and guidance on HR policies and procedures.\nAssist in resolving employee issues and conflicts while promoting a positive workplace culture.\nAssist to provide onsite support for processing payroll: ensuring the various tip pools are recorded correctly; all time cards are signed off, paid time off, and absences are recorded.\nAssist employees with information regarding their benefits and assist with enrollment and changes.\nMaintain knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.\nAssist with the preparation and maintenance of HR-related documentation, data base, and reports for audits.\nSupport the implementation of training programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and development.\nTrack training completion and assist in evaluating training effectiveness.\nAssist in the performance evaluation process, including setting timelines and providing necessary documentation.\nSupport management in addressing performance-related issues and conducting performance reviews.\nOversee the planning and organization of staff activities and team-building events to enhance employee engagement and foster a sense of community. Engage and encourage various team members to lead activities they are passionate about.
