Snowbird is a unique resort with distinct summer and winter seasons and offers full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.\nTITLE: Junior Snowsports Instructor Winter 2026 -2027\nLOCATION: Snowbird\nSTATUS: Seasonal, Part-time, Hourly\nSCHEDULE: 9 am to 4 pm - must work a minimum of 12 shifts\nSUMMARY\nAs a Junior Instructor, you will assist Mountain School Instructors in coaching children in snow sports. The main responsibility is to ensure that children in your care are SAFE, have FUN, and LEARN. In this position, you will be an ambassador for the Resort and the sport.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nAttend all required pre-season and ongoing training sessions and staff meetings.\nDevelop and maintain personal fitness level.\nFulfill assigned work schedule for season.\nMaintain safe, functional personal equipment, professional personal appearance (including uniform), be punctual and prepared for daily weather conditions.\nProvide appropriate levels of internal and external service such as meeting and greeting children and parents, helping set up work areas and register children.\nBe punctual for work assignments.\nRepresent the company in a professional manner.\nWHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE\nMust be able to ski or ride all intermediate terrain.\nExperience working with 4 to 6 year-olds would be a plus.\nMust have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.\nMust be 15 to 17 years of age.\nWORK SCHEDULE\nMust commit to work a minimum of 12 shifts, including Saturdays or Sundays and holidays.\nShift schedule: 9 am to 4 pm.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nMay experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.\nRequires walking in ski/snowboard boots on irregular and slippery surfaces.\nMust be able to lift 50+ lbs.\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time.\nWork is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold, sun and other extreme weather conditions.\nWork is subject to frequent interruptions, making continuity and accuracy difficult.
