Four 10s Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm; OT as needed\nA Fab Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machines used in the fabrication process. They work in manufacturing or production settings, ensuring that machines are set up correctly, monitoring their operation, and making adjustments as needed. The Fab Machine Operator follows safety protocols, inspects finished products for quality, and troubleshoots any issues that arise during the fabrication process. They may also be responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of the machines. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.\nEssential Responsibilities\nDetermine size and length requirements of each operation specified, within given allowable tolerance.\nSelect and transport material to different work areas manually or using machinery.\nMeasuring and marking sheet metal according to templates.\nOperate metalworking machines to cut punch, drill, and shape or straighten sheet metal.\nGrind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces.\nPerform preventative maintenance on the equipment and its tooling, as well as small electric and air tools.\nInspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications.\nPerform repairs on machinery.\nAssist in inventory control.\nPromote a safety culture as well as attend all safety meetings.\nEnsures quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.\nEnsure work areas remain clean and well organized.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum education level of a High School Diploma is preferred.\nMinimum of 1 year experience working in metal fabrication an asset.\nFamiliarity with Turret, Press Brake, Plasma, Laser Beam copper and other metal working equipment is an asset.\nFamiliarity with an MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is considered an asset.\nBasic skills Microsoft Office.\nPreferred Qualifications Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements\nAbility to program or learn to program N.C. equipment.\nComprehension and understanding of shop drawings.\nDemonstrates a sense of urgency and a “can-do” attitude by collaborating with others to solve problems and drive results.\nSelf-starter with ability to take on multiple tasks with a drive to succeed.\nConscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks.\nAbility to learn and adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices to ensure adherence to ISO requirements.\nAble to work effectively within your team and around other departments and their activities.\nMust have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.\nWorking & Environmental Conditions\nWorking Conditions\nSit in a semi-enclosed space to perform work occasionally.\nSafety sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities.\nRequired to wear personnel protective equipment at all times (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses as required) and respirators when required.\nMust be able to work from all type of ladders (step ladders, \"A\" frame ladders and all size extension ladders) and scaffolding.\nWorking at heights usually no higher than 30 feet in the air on or using proper lift equipment.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs.\nBending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in a repetitive manner continuously.\nContinuous standing, walking 50-300-foot distances for long periods of time with only occasional sitting.\nMust be able to climb stairs frequently throughout the shift.\nAble to frequently look over shoulders, work with both arms above shoulders and use both arms at full length frequently.\nUsing upper extremities to apply or exert a force continuously up to 50lbs.\nAbility to use hand tools such as tin snips, hammer, and power tools (some
