The supervisor will manage, direct, and lead the hourly employees to meet the specific goals established for their area that corresponds to the overall company objectives. The goals will be achieved by focusing on process, quality, costs and safety metrics. Supervise and coordinate the work for manufacturing department while focusing in on continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nEnsure employees have the proper training, skills, and tools to work safety.\nCreate and sustain a safe work environment.\nMaintain compliance with industrial workplace safety and health regulations.\nIdentify improvement opportunities for safety, and either lead or recommend corrective action.\nManage the employee safety program on an ongoing basis.\nEnsure employees have the proper training, skills, and tools to perform work which follows the documented Powell Quality System Procedures.\nPrepare workforce for ongoing Quality System Audits.\nImplement process improvements designed to improve quality system metrics, with assistance from Manufacturing Engineering.\nIn cooperation with production control, manage assets and people effectively to achieve established delivery objectives.\nMeet or exceed financial objectives such as overtime allowance and variable department expenses.\nEffectively manage employee payroll system for each department.\nEnsure Powell fixed assets, such as building and equipment, are properly utilized and maintained.\nDevelop and deliver effective communications with direct reports, teams, other functions, departments, and other internal and external contacts, as required.\nLead and conduct effective meetings.\nAdminister Powell policy and procedures consistently.\nMaintain accurate training records.\nDevelop individuals and work teams such that they can operate effectively with minimal supervision.\nCreate an environment where employees can grow and develop into greater levels of contribution.\nDevelop and administer performance evaluations.\nEffectively manage performance.\nAct as a change agent;
