Strong technical skills, creativity, attention to detail,\nand knowledge of engineering principles are essential for success in this role.\nSupervision\nNONE\nEssential Responsibilities\nAssist Mechanical Engineering efforts in product development process.\nCreate basic design drawings with assistance.\nCreate documentation to support assembly.\nGain familiarity with strengths of materials, steel and copper.\nGain familiarity with industry codes and standards.\nGain familiarity with electrical design.\nStrive to keep current on the 'state of the art' in design specialty through periodicals, trade\nmagazines, and continuing education.\nLearn policies and procedures, work instruction, ISO policies, Safety Rules and Regulations, and\nvendor products.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh School Graduate or GED.\nMinimum 1 year of design experience in a manufacturing environment.\nBasic drafting/CAD skills, Inventor, or 3D CAD software required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSkills, Abilities & other Requirements\nWorking & Environmental Conditions\nGenerally, requires working in a climate-controlled environment.\nPhysical requirements include talking, hearing, reaching, and the ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse.\nTo perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nThere will be some work in a laboratory and shop environments and exposure to the elements of our shop.\nThere will be some work performed in the field with exposure to construction sites or active customer facilities.\nThis description is not intended to be a complete statement of the position, but rather to act as a guide to the general work to be performed.
