The QA Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Quality Team in the implementation, training, process improvement, and auditing of the quality management system.\nEssential Responsibilities\nDrive a quality and continuous improvement culture throughout the organization.\nBuild relationships with various internal customers throughout the company\nManage the QA System platform on Powell’s Internal Website - Intersect (SharePoint Based) ensuring that documentation meets the quality requirements, is up-to-date and assigned to the appropriate groups.\nLead QA System procedure development & updates.\nDevelopment and review QA work instructions, policies, processes and procedures. \nLead, planning, schedule, and complete of Internal Audits.\nManage the internal and external audit programs\nWrite Corrective Actions Requests for audit findings and coordinate with managers and supervisors of various departments to identify root cause and a mitigation plan.\nFacilitate and oversee third party audits. \nOversee QA System KPIs with DPMO and Six Sigma.\nManage Powell’s non-conformance process and act as a level of escalation to drive resolution.\nExternal relationships include interaction with customers and outside QA system auditors. \nRead, interpret, and apply the ISO quality system standard.\nOther duties as required.\nCore Competencies\nAct as a point of escalation for QA activities.\nAbility to work and interact with all levels of the organization. \nAbility to effectively write, speak and generally communicate to engage employees, management, and others in a productive and credible manner.\nAbility to write clear and concise audit reports. \nExemplify a professional demeanor as well as a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of processes.\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nDemonstrate a sense of urgency along with action-oriented work ethic.\nSelf-starter with a drive to succeed.\nAbility to analyze problems, determine root cause and take effective corrective action.\nAbility to learn policies and procedures, work instructions and ISO standards.\nAbility to promote a positive quality culture. \nQualifications\nA minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. \nBachelor’s degree is recommended. \nPrevious experience working in a Quality Assurance department. \nMinimum 3 years of direct experience as a leader in a Quality Assurance department. \nIntermediate computer skills using Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio.\nQualified as an ISO QA systems auditor. \nFamiliar with the ISO9001:2015 and the ISO9001:2026 requirements\nSix Sigma, SPC and similar Quality measurement tools.\nWork Authorization: This is a permanent position.
