They work closely with a team of assemblers to ensure that products are assembled correctly and efficiently, meeting quality standards and production deadlines. The Senior Assembler may also provide guidance and training to junior assemblers, troubleshoot any assembly issues, and assist in the development and improvement of assembly procedures. They play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth assembly process and ensuring the overall quality of the finished products.\nEssential Responsibilities\nBuild and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear and/or Breaker units according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.\nPerform maintenance and proper use of tools.\nPerform in process inspections; ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.\nLead team members on all aspects of ship prep\nAssist in training employees\nPerform Root Cause Analysis on engineering changes and correct discrepancies\nIdentify and track shortages\nAssist in processing ship loose and communicate to QA/QC\nLead a small team of employees to complete a specific task assigned as assigned by lead assembler and/or supervisor\nPerform final \"in process inspections\"\nPerform mechanical adjustments for switchgear and/or breakers\nPromote a safety culture as well as attend all safety meetings.\nEnsure that work areas remain clean and well organized.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.\n4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\nAbility to read a tape measure (including conversions from fraction to decimal and conversely from decimal to fraction and metric to imperial).\nMust have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.\nKnowledge of system software (i.e. Oracle, MES, True View) to look up parts and drawings.\nSafely use variety of hand/power tools.\nLift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.\nSkills, Abilities & Other Requirements\nAbility to complete complex engineering changes.\nRead and understand spec sheets and follow proper use of hardware by spec requirements.\nAdvanced knowledge of single and three-line drawings, including symbols\nAbility to identify part discrepancies and properly write HFDs for corrections\nKnowledge of mechanical drawings and designs\nEffectively demonstrates on-time delivery and the ability to stay focused on goals and responsibilities.\nSelf-starter with ability to protection, safety harnesses as required) and respirators when required.\nMust be able to work from all type of ladders (step ladders, \"A\" frame ladders, etc.)\nWorking at heights usually no higher than 20 feet in the air on an elevated structure using proper lift equipment and Fall Protection Equipment.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs or step ladders\nBending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction\nContinuous
