This role is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and support of AV hardware and software, ensuring seamless operation across conference rooms, training facilities, and corporate spaces. The Audio Visual Engineer collaborates closely with IT, Facilities, and end users to deliver high-quality, innovative AV experiences aligned with Power Design’s operational goals.\nPosition Responsibilities\nDesign and engineer integrated audiovisual systems for corporate, conference, and training environments.\nOversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of AV hardware, including displays, sound systems, microphones, control systems, and networked AV devices.\nDevelop technical documentation such as system schematics, wiring diagrams, and rack layouts.\nSupport end users with troubleshooting, system calibration, and software updates.\nCollaborate with vendors and contractors to coordinate installations and ensure adherence to specifications.\nMaintain asset inventory and perform preventative maintenance on AV systems.\nProvide training and documentation to employees on AV systems and conferencing tools.\nStay current with industry trends and emerging AV technologies to recommend enhancements.\nModel Power Design’s values-integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth-in all daily operations.\nHere’s What We’re Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.\n3+ years of experience designing, installing, and supporting AV systems.\nProficiency with control systems (Crestron, Extron, or similar) and conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, WebEx).\nKnowledge of networked AV systems, signal flow, and digital video distribution (HDBaseT, Dante, etc.).\nExperience using CAD or AV design tools preferred.\nExcellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departments.\nIndustry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, or equivalent professional certifications.\nAt Power Design, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
