You’ll have access to innovative technologies in the field, including a fully-equipped iPad, and will be responsible for overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of fire alarm systems on large-scale construction projects.\nPosition Details/Responsibilities\nAs the technical adviser on fire alarm systems programming and configuration, work with installation team and local fire marshal to ensure that all code requirements are met.\nAct as a liaison between the project team, other trades, and customers, partnering with the superintendent and foremen to ensure production is on track.\nWork with local jurisdiction (fire marshal) to ensure code compliance.\nUtilize technology such as company-provided iPad and smartphone to ensure the job gets done on time, adheres to the blueprints and specifications, and exceeds customer expectations.\nHere’s What We’re Looking For\n5-8+ years of related work experience, preferably with new construction, large commercial installations.\nGamewell-FCI and/or Notifier certifications.\nNICET fire alarm certifications highly preferred.\nProficient knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).\nAs the regional subject matter expert for life safety and fire alarm systems, must be willing to travel as needed and possess a valid driver’s license.\nDemonstrate and uphold all of Power Design’s core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth.\nAt Power Design, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
