Our technology was developed at Caltech, deployed with research partners like NASA, proven-out with customers like Netflix and Children’s Hospital, and now scaling to fleets, corporations, and municipalities nationwide.\nThe PowerFlex Project Coordinator will assist in planning, managing, and coordinating all aspects of multiple solar, BESS and EVSE energy projects from contract through completion. The responsibilities include managing townships, permitting, resource management, construction management, processing of subcontracts, and project close out documentation. The Project Coordinator assists with communication of various parties (e.g., subcontractors, vendors, internal team members etc.) throughout the entire project.\nTHIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY AND THE EMPLOYER INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY 12/31/26.\nLocation\nThis role is required to be a hybrid role out of our New York City, NYC office. We will only be able to consider applicants who are local and can come into the office 3 days a week or are willing to relocate.\nResponsibilities\n70% - General Strategic Operations\nEvaluating and finding solutions to potential problems during project implementation\nPlanning and managing team goals, project schedules, and new information \nCoordinating team members to keep workflow on track \nManaging project-related paperwork and materials \nPreparing and reviewing project proposals \nManaging memos, meeting minutes, and correspondence \nApply for ministerial permits and liaise with the townships for permit approvals \nPrepare meeting presentations for large portfolio and non-portfolio clients \nAssist Project Managers with purchase orders and budget related items \nAssist with preparing bid packages and subcontracting \nInterface with vendors and other related third parties \nProvide feedback to improve company protocols, installation practices, and company growth \nBreaking down a project into timed phases with deadlines \nIdentifying and find solutions to potential project setbacks \nDecision-making for procurement, sub-contracts, and risk management \n30% - Field Support\nAssist with Field Operations Management \nAssist with third-party on-site inspections \nProvide desk and in the field support to Project Managers and other Execution team members \nQualifications\nEducation/Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Sustainability/Renewable Energy, Business Management or relevant experience in the either commercial or residential solar, BESS or EVSE \nPrior permitting experience in jurisdictions such as NYC DOB, LADBS, and general national permitting knowledge preferred\nSkills/Knowledge/Abilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent problem-solving, team development, and critical thinking skills \nHigh level of integrity with strong emphasis on making and meeting commitments \nHigh sense of urgency with excellent organizational skills and drive to meet deadlines \nMust have a strong interest in construction and renewable energy installations \nComputer Skills: Microsoft Office applications. Gantt Chart knowledge, CRM, Smartsheet, Procore, ClickUp and Salesforce is a plus \nNABCEP PV Associate Certification is a plus \nOSHA 30 is a plus \n CompensationThe pay range for this position is $30 - $40 hourly. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.\nWorking Conditions\nApproximately 85% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe etc.), telephones, and general office equipment.
