You won't manage day-to-day activities directly, but you'll own the on-time delivery of software and the long-term development and performance of the team executing your designs.\nYou'll learn PowerPlan's software, solutions, and technical framework quickly, then move from producing technical designs to collaborating with the team on business objectives - creating data models, data architecture, and detailed designs that make off-shore development adoption straightforward.\nWe're in the middle of one of the most significant transformations in our history. Join us, and you'll have the opportunity to influence the technology, engineering practices, and capabilities that will shape it for years to come.\nResponsibilities\nSuccess will be measured by how quickly you're producing technical designs independently, and by how well off-shore development teams can execute against them without hand-holding.\nCreate technical designs from business requirements, including data models and data architecture that support them.\nEnable Developers and QA with the tools, documentation, and test plans they need to execute against your designs.\nConduct design signoff sessions that set the team up for a productive, well-documented work environment.\nEstablish milestones, estimates, and timelines in partnership with Product Managers.\nIdentify and communicate risks, delays, or roadblocks early, and work toward agreeable solutions.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science.\n10+ years of work experience in a similar position or equivalent skills, with a history of increasing responsibility.\nAbility to work with little or no supervision on assigned functions.\nProcess orientation, with the ability to analyze and design or build complex processes.\nExperience with key enterprise applications, including ERP and EAM.\nUnderstanding of system and network architecture, system platforms, system access, database design, SQL queries, and network protocols.\nInsight into how PowerPlan's products work, including their application, function, features, use, and support services.\nAbility to apply industry and domain knowledge - accounting, tax, and budgeting - to design decisions.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.\nPreferred\nAdvanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nProject and/or team leadership experience.\nHands-on experience with capital projects, capital budgets, fixed asset accounting, or business tax software.\nExperience running and delivering enterprise-level software applications, including ERP and EAM.\nPowerPlan is an EOE\nApplicant Privacy Notice\nPlease note that this is a hybrid role that involves a combination of onsite work from our corporate office as well as work from home.
