You'll own the data pipelines end to end, from Databricks and ADF ingestion through transformation to secure OData delivery, and set the engineering standard across a complex multi-repository codebase.\nBecause this role spans both application and data engineering, you'll move fluidly across tracks and drive improvements that reach every customer of the platform. It's a high-autonomy role for an engineer who raises the bar without being asked and wants their work measured by whether customers can trust their data.\nResponsibilities\nSuccess will be measured by how much more reliable and observable the Data Hub pipeline becomes under your ownership, and by whether other engineers start treating your code review and production-readiness bar as the standard.\nBuild and operate Databricks and Azure Data Factory pipelines that move raw data through the medallion pattern into reliable, report-ready datasets.\nStrengthen reliability and observability across the full Data Hub chain so failures are caught before they reach customers.\nFix the customer-facing pain points that matter most first - including the long-running requests that cause large customers to time out.\nGet oriented across the multi-repository architecture and become a credible contributor on both the application and data engineering tracks.\nSet and hold the standard for code review, test strategy, and production readiness across the codebase.\nDesign and maintain the ASP.NET Core OData reporting services that deliver Data Hub data to customers, with identity and security as supporting work.\nQualifications\nHands-on Databricks and Azure Data Factory experience building medallion-style ingestion and transformation pipelines.\nA track record of building reliability and observability into distributed systems - health checks, data-quality gates, monitoring, and graceful failure handling.\nThe ability to reason through cross-repository dependencies in a Git-based, multi-repo environment.\nA high personal bar for code review, test strategy, and production readiness, with the credibility to hold peers to it.\nStrong C# and ASP.NET Core skills, including OData service design, middleware, and dependency injection.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Azure and identity/token flows (Entra ID, OAuth2/OIDC, SSO), plus strong production SQL skills.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.\nTypically 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with senior-level ownership of services, data platforms, enterprise applications, or cloud-hosted systems.\nPreferred\nExperience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration for data pipeline deployment.\nExposure to GraphQL or additional API paradigms beyond OData.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted engineering tools for code review or root-cause analysis.\nPowerPlan is an EOE\nApplicant Privacy Notice\nPlease note that this is a hybrid role that involves a combination of onsite work from our corporate office as well as work from home.
