From engineering to quality assurance to data science, the R&D team ensures our customers seamlessly use our products and can depend on their consistency.\n\nDescription\n\n Responsibilities \n\nThe Software Engineering team is a group of full stack developers who design, develop, and maintain our products, tools, and infrastructure.\n\nYour day-to-day job will consist of:\n\nWork as part of an Agile SCRUM team in the planning, scoping, estimation, and execution of technical solutions.\nDevelop scalable web applications, services, and APIs that meet business and customer requirements.\nInvestigate and resolve issues reported for web applications by following engineering best practices, including writing maintainable code, developing unit tests, and applying appropriate design patterns and algorithms.\nAnalyze application performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and user experience.\nAssist with security updates, vulnerability remediation, and secure coding practices across web applications.\nDevelop client-side and/or server-side application components as a member of a cross-functional engineering team.\nDevelop and enhance software solutions, frameworks, and tools that support product functionality and internal engineering initiatives.\nLeverage AI-powered tools and technologies in daily engineering activities to improve productivity, code quality, testing, troubleshooting, and development efficiency.\nContribute to an AI-first engineering approach by incorporating automation, AI-assisted development practices, and intelligent solutions into software delivery processes.\nDesign, develop, and maintain integrations across multiple applications, services, and platforms to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nMinimum of 5+ years of relevant and related work experience.\nBachelor's degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.\nAdditional experience may be substitute for an advanced Degree.\n Experience owning the responsibility for delivering frontend and backend work as well as coordinating with QA, Design, and PM \n Willingness to accept responsibility not only for your own work but the work of the team as a whole \nDemonstrate adaptability by learning and adopting new technologies, tools, and engineering practices, including AI-powered solutions.\nCollaborate effectively with other engineering and product teams to solve complex integration challenges and deliver seamless cross-platform experiences.\n Experience with modern front-end frameworks. \n Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and React for building modern web applications. \n Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and cloud-native application development. \n Understanding of Serverless Architecture and event-driven application design. \n Experience with or knowledge of AWS Lambda and serverless computing concepts. \n Familiarity with DynamoDB or other NoSQL database technologies. \n Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns across distributed systems. \n Knowledge of Micro Frontend architecture and frontend application modularization concepts. \n Familiarity with Module Federation for scalable frontend development and application integration.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with Auth0 for authentication and authorization solutions.\nFamiliarity with AI tools, AI-assisted development workflows, and modern AI technologies.\nStrong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web development practices.\nExperience with Elasticsearch for search, indexing, and analytics capabilities.\n\n EEO Commitment \n\nEEO Commitment\n\nPowerSchool is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
