The Construction Manager will represent PowerSecure at the project site level, oversee all construction activities, be present for all equipment deliveries, manage subcontractors and internal resources, as well as interfacing with the customer, utility, and local AHJ’s.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in construction, energy industries preferred.\nAbility to read and communicate proficiently in English.\nAbility to use computer and proficient with standard office software.\nAbility to read and interpret construction documents.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nMust be punctual, organized, and professional.\nMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExperience in working with General Contractors, subcontractors, customers, utilities, and AHJ’s.\nKnowledge of construction management and construction process.\nAbility to identify and manage priorities with urgency, while maintaining high quality and customer service.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:Subcontractors and Internal Resources\nEssential Functions\nMaintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.\nCoordinate and administer daily safety briefs with contractors and company employees to ensure a safe working environment.\nCoordinate and lead project meetings with customers, utilities, subcontractors, and/or other stakeholders.\nProficiently understand all aspects of project and adequately manage the installation.\nEnsure project sites are always left in a tidy manner and follow housekeeping standards and procedures.\nProperly coordinate with respective parties for timely execution of project schedule.\nProficiently communicate with Senior Staff to ensure each project is installed safely, timely, and on budget.\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds.\nMust be able to work in various positions including low to the ground or on a ladder.\nTravel required (70%+), must be willing and able to drive company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary.\nMust be able to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.\nWork Environment\nExposure to weather in varying climates.\nExposure to noise intensity levels.\nExposure to energized electrical equipment.\nExposure to overhead hazards (crane & rigging).\nExposure to heavy machinery.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
