They will also remain involved with project post-sale as a system technical resource as part of the project management team. This position will be assigned to DI turn-key, equipment-only and one-off specialty project assignments. Position performance will focus on accurate and effective Project Development Engineering support resulting in well-defined and awarded projects.\nQualifications:\nBS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience as an electrical consultant, application/development engineer or related industry position\nStrong CAD skills are required. - Strong computer software skills, Electrical Engineering Skills will be subject to an assessment.\nAbility to develop concept drawings sets (Electrical One-line Diagrams, Site Layouts, etc.)\nStrong Commercial and Industrial Electrical power systems knowledge, application analysis and estimating skills\nReciprocating engine and power distribution equipment design knowledge required\nRenewable energy Distributed Energy Source (DER) experience a plus - Strategic and analytical thinking skills.\nHigh attention to detail and process oriented\nExcellent verbal, written, inter-personal communications and relationship skills\nCodes and Standards Interpretation and Application (NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEEE, etc.)\nReview of specifications, drawings, or customer requests to determine project scope, schedule, risk and all technical delivery requirements\nPower system modeling (fault, coordination, arc flash) in SKM a plus - Understanding of utility interconnect applications and management of the process.\nAssist and participate in new product offering discussions, maintain an awareness of industry product and technology trends for various product lines and applications.\nUnderstand the PowerSecure product line and overall business models.\nBe familiar with the sales process, strategic goals and project delivery requirements.\nBe a technical liaison for the Sales team.\nWork closely with sales staff, product engineering and manufacturing leads to ensure complete and shared project understanding.\nAssist sales in the development of project scope, schedule, risk, and project information management.\nEffective communication with internal team members for estimate/proposal development.\nParticipate as requested in company training events, applicable industry and product related training or certification classes and marketing industry sector events.\nPassion to contribute in a fast-growing corporate environment and leading edge Microgrid system design-build firm.\nPost-sale engineering project management \nEssential Functions:\nAbility to balance multiple projects and documentation requirements effectively\nEffective prioritization and management of pre-sale and post-sale tasks within ERP system\nTravel as necessary to client project, vendor, job site and event locations\nAbility to read and communicate in English\nMaintain a commitment to overall professional development.\nAbility to develop and lead projects\nAbility to present and lead customer meetings\nAbility to specify and obtain accurate vendor quotes\nPhysical Demands:\nLimited local travel will be required (Less than 10%)\nMust be able to work in an office environment with a lot of sitting\nMust be able to tolerate a full day of computer screen viewing\nWork Environment:\nProfessional office environment\nSome walking will be required to browse projects on the shop floor\nAbout Us\nPowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is a leading provider of innovative energy solutions to electric utilities and their industrial, institutional, and commercial customers.\nJoin Our Power Team!\nWe invest in high-value and cost-effective benefits for our employees.
