The PM will be responsible for project initiation, production/procurement oversight, budget control, schedule control, and project closeout.\nMinimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):\nBS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in energy or construction industries. Or a minimum of a High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience in construction, energy industries would be considered.\nPMP certification preferred.\nExperience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets exceeding $5M.\nOSHA 10 or 30 certification required.\nKnowledge of permitting processes and environmental compliance standards. Experience coordinating utility interconnection requirements and regulatory approvals.\nDemonstrated success in mentoring junior project managers or coordinators. Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).\nExperience in risk/change management and mitigation planning.\nStrong financial acumen including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.\nProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and legal requirements.\nLead complex, multi-phase projects with strategic importance.\nServe as primary point of contact for stakeholders.\nDevelop and implement risk management plans and contingency strategies.\nOversee project portfolio performance metrics and report to senior leadership.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives across project execution processes.\nLead post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions.\nSupport business development efforts by contributing to proposals and client presentations.\nMentor and coach Project/Construction Manager I-level staff.\nCollaborate with finance and operations to optimize resource allocation.\nLead permitting and interconnection coordination with utilities and regulatory bodies.\nEnsure compliance with environmental mitigation measures and safety regulations.\nManage subcontractor selection, scope definition, and performance tracking.\nOversee RFIs, change orders, and close-out packages.\nMaintain project documentation using Procore and other PM tools\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds.\nTravel required (50%+); must be willing and able to drive a company vehicle and/or fly commercially.\nMust be able to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.\nExposure to sitting for extended periods, varying climates, noise levels, energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards, and heavy machinery.\nAbout Us:\nPowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is a leading provider of innovative energy solutions to electric utilities and their industrial, institutional, and commercial customers.\nWe invest in high-value and cost-effective benefits for our employees.
