Transport and Logistics Coordination\nCoordinate daily transport and logistics operations to support timely movement of materials and products.\nPlan and coordinate vehicle and driver deployment according to operational requirements.\nPrepare driver schedules, duty rosters, and vehicle deployment plans.\nMonitor vehicle movements, turnaround times, fuel consumption, and utilisation.\nCoordinate with relevant departments to support smooth logistics operations.\n2. Driver Supervision and Management\nSupervise, manage, and monitor drivers to support productivity, discipline, and safety.\nEnsure drivers follow company procedures, traffic regulations, safety requirements, and customer-site requirements.\nMonitor driver performance and address operational concerns.\nCoordinate driver assignments and schedules according to business needs.\nPromote responsible vehicle use and professional conduct.\n3. Fleet Maintenance and Vehicle Availability\nEnsure vehicles are available and appropriately scheduled for servicing and maintenance.\nMonitor vehicle condition and report maintenance requirements.\nCoordinate with relevant teams to address vehicle breakdowns and servicing needs.\nSupport effective vehicle utilisation and reduce avoidable downtime.\n4. Operational Coordination and Problem-Solving\nWork closely with Operations, Sales, Production, Workshop, and other relevant departments.\nMonitor and address delays, breakdowns, route challenges, and transport disruptions.\nRespond to changing operational requirements and adjust transport arrangements where necessary.\nHandle customer and operational issues relating to transport and delivery professionally.\nSupport continuous improvement in transport efficiency and cost control.\n5. Records, Reporting and Compliance\nMaintain accurate transport and logistics records.\nPrepare regular performance reports.\nMonitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilisation, and turnaround times.\nEnsure transport documentation is complete and properly maintained.\nSupport compliance with applicable safety requirements and internal procedures.\nMinimum Requirements\nApplicants should have:\nA bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.\nAt least 10 years of relevant experience in a busy logistics or transport environment.\nProven experience managing and supervising drivers.\nStrong understanding of fleet and transport operations.\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate multiple vehicles and drivers simultaneously.\nStrong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.\nFlexibility to work according to operational demands.\nResidence in or around Kikuyu, or the ability to commute reliably to the workplace.\nExperience in construction, ready-mix concrete, quarry, manufacturing, or other heavy-operations environments is an added advantage.\nCandidate Profile\nThe ideal candidate is a practical and experienced logistics professional who can take responsibility for day-to-day transport operations.\nThey should be able to maintain driver discipline, coordinate vehicle deployment effectively, monitor fleet performance, and ensure logistics requirements are met without unnecessary delays.\nThe successful candidate should demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate several operational activities at once.\nSalary and Work Location\nThe position is based in Kikuyu, Kiambu County, with a gross monthly salary of KSh 80,000-100,000, depending on experience and
