The successful candidate will help ensure accurate transaction processing, effective reporting and compliance with applicable financial sector regulations.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperations Management\nOversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.\nCoordinate investment transactions, reconciliations, settlements and operational reporting.\nDevelop, implement and review operational policies, procedures and workflows to improve productivity and accountability.\nMonitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.\nEnsure accurate and timely processing of financial and investment-related transactions.\nRegulatory Compliance and Internal Controls\nEnsure adherence to applicable Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) regulations, guidelines and reporting requirements, as relevant to the firm’s activities.\nCoordinate regulatory reporting, internal and external audits, and compliance documentation.\nDevelop and maintain effective internal controls to minimise operational errors, financial exposure and compliance risks.\nIdentify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.\nWork with relevant stakeholders to address audit findings and strengthen operational accountability.\nStakeholder and Investment Operations\nLiaise with banks, fund managers, custodians, trustees, brokers, investors and other relevant stakeholders.\nSupport effective coordination of investment transactions, settlements and reconciliations.\nMaintain reliable operational records and ensure documentation is accurate and accessible.\nFacilitate timely communication and resolution of operational issues involving internal teams and external partners.\nTeam Leadership and Reporting\nSupervise and guide the operations team, ensuring clear responsibilities and consistent performance.\nEstablish performance expectations and monitor departmental results against agreed objectives.\nPrepare operational reports for senior management, highlighting performance, risks, challenges and improvement opportunities.\nPromote a culture of accuracy, accountability, efficiency and continuous improvement.\nQualifications and Experience\nCandidates applying for this Senior Operations Manager position should meet the following requirements:\nA bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.\nAt least 5 years of experience in operations within investment management, capital markets, banking, fund administration or financial services.\nStrong knowledge of applicable CMA and CBK regulatory frameworks, relevant to investment and financial services operations.\nGood understanding of capital markets, investment products, financial transactions, reconciliations, settlements and regulatory reporting.\nDemonstrated experience in operational risk management, internal controls and process improvement.\nProven ability to coordinate stakeholders and maintain effective operational procedures.\nStrong leadership, analytical, communication and
