They are responsible for ensuring that the product does not become contaminated in any way and the equipment is maintained to ensure that it operates as designed and is safe at all times.\nResponsibilities:\nFollow all company policies and procedures \nBe familiar with the operation of all safety devices on the extruder laminator \nRead and interpret the Job Jacket \nOperate and understand all aspects of the extruder laminator \nSet up and operate DCU in Radius system \nComplete job checkout before starting production \nComplete lab tests necessary for checkout \nOperate the chain hoists safely \nAssist with loading raw material rolls into unwinds \nAssist with preparing splices on unwind rolls \nAssist with removing and palletizing laminated rolls from the rewind \nLoad empty cores, cut to the proper size, on rewind and prepare for splice \nMonitor trim system and change blades \nRemove and collect raw material roll labels \nWeigh waste and complete waste tickets \nMonitor quality of material being produced \nSetup die with deckles \nProgram and operate resin blending system \nUnderstand resin types \nProperly label all WIP rolls \nRemove and collect all raw material and WIP rolls tickets \nCheck raw material films for the correct type and wind direction \nUnderstand QA Hold tag system \nUnderstand raw material Defective Material Return system \nFollow all GMP's to avoid product contamination \nKeep work area and equipment clean per SQF Food Safety requirements \nPerform Operator assigned preventative maintenance as scheduled \nLabel and return unused rolls to inventory \nMinimum Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) required\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able lift a maximum of 50 lbs.\nPPC Flexible Packaging is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
