Visit www.downsconstruction.com\nJob Summary\nA Drywaller/Painter in the Construction Department is an individual with work experience in completing interior and exterior painting jobs and leaving clients’ residential/commercial properties clean and tidy. They possess necessary and up-to-date knowledge of different painting and drywalling methods, which paints and drywall-related materials work best on different types of surfaces, and how to clean and prep surfaces for painting. The position does require the person to mud/tape from time to time. They are collaborative and use their soft skills to work with other technicians and departments to complete required tasks.\nResponsibilities\nApplication of tape and mud (small and/or large sections)\nPerform various types of painting and texturing.\nAble to lift heavy items (up to 80 lbs). \nApplies paints, sealers, and solvents to interior and exterior building surfaces, including plaster, sheetrock, concrete, and wood.\nAdhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on job sites.\nPerforms building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks.\nOperates equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.\nUses mechanized high-reach equipment to renew caulking on exterior building panel seams, windows, and doors.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of equipment on-site and in your vehicle, as well as proper maintenance. \nPerforms special refinishing tasks, including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing.\nEnsures proper care in using and maintaining equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.\nPerforms minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster.\nSurveys building painting project sites to estimate time and material quantities required; selects appropriate surface coatings.\nFrom time to time, assist with emergency-related work, such as moving and setting up flood equipment. \nCommunicating with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders effectively in the form of updates through our Project Management app, Restorify, email, and phone/text. \nCompleting your timecard and various work-related documents daily.\nRequirements\nMust have a class 5 or N driver’s license, and a personal truck or van to accommodate drywall sheets and tools on a daily basis.
