Taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the depot whilst meeting/exceeding all customer expectations, whilst adhering to all internal processes and procedures. Working safely is part of the PPG way, and it is the Depot Managers responsibility to ensure the depot complies with all H&S regulations and operates in a safe manner.\nResponsibilities:\nBuild effective teams\n\nCommunicates clear goals and roles to team members.\n\nEnsures team has the right mix of skills and leverages the strengths of individual members.\n\nRewards team efforts and accomplishments.\n\nEffective and proactive inventory management including slow and obsolete products.\n\nCompetent with HR processes and people management including recruitment of new employment.\n\nResponsible for ensuring as a minimum requirement that all service level agreements for national & major local accounts must be always met.\n\nEnsures KPI’s are set for all team members, monitors performance and puts corrective plans in place to address underperformance.\n\nResponsible for ensuring company vehicles are maintained, safe, fully compliant to UK road laws and secure.\n\nMonitor and act on driver behaviour using in vehicle telematics.\n\nSkills and Attributes Required\nMonitors progress of performance and changes approach\n\naccordingly takes ownership of teams and own work, follows.\n\nthrough on commitments.\n\nIndependently anticipates and meets customer needs searches for ways to improve customer performance, uses customer insights to drive innovation.\n\nExcellent communication skills\n\nStrong people management skills ability to manage a small team and delegate effectively where necessary.\n\nEffective use of staff resource across the Depot depending on business needs at the time.\n\nStrong numeracy and literacy skills\n\nCompetent I.T skills including the use of Office 360, WMS, CRM, and ERP systems.\n\nProactive with a positive approach to challenges\n\nSelf-motivated and ability to motivate others to achieve common goals.\n\nAble to engage with business objectives and contribute to the wider strategy.\n\nMust be prepared to take overall ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the Depot.\n\nQualifications and / Knowledge\nOperational experience - ideally 5 years or equivalent in paint/non-paint to Bodyshop End users / distributors.\n\nSales or customer management experience\n\nUnderstanding of coatings business is preferable\n\nPeople management qualification / previous experience\n\nStock processes / Inventory management\n\nStrong leadership skills\n\nFinancial, Operational & EHS compliant\n\nComputer literate\n\nWarehousing (picking / packing)\n\nPlanning / transport experience including route planning.\n\nEHS & Sustainability\n\nValid clean driving licence\n\nAbout us:\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
