Deliver an outstanding customer experience.\nWe’re looking for a confident, hands-on Depot Manager to take ownership of one of our PPG Refinish Distribution Depots.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of an operation, leading people, solving problems and building strong relationships with customers. You’ll have responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the depot, ensuring it operates safely, efficiently and commercially, while delivering the high level of service our customers expect.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nNo two days will be quite the same. You’ll:\nLead and motivate your depot team, creating clear goals and helping people perform at their best.\nOwn the customer experience, building relationships, resolving issues and identifying opportunities to grow sales.\nDrive depot performance, monitoring KPIs and taking action where improvement is needed.\nManage stock effectively, with a proactive focus on inventory, including slow-moving and obsolete products.\nKeep safety at the forefront, ensuring the depot operates in line with EHS requirements and company standards.\nOversee delivery operations, making sure vehicles are safe, compliant and used effectively.\nManage and develop your people, including performance, recruitment, resource planning and day-to-day HR processes.\nWork closely with colleagues across Sales, Logistics, Customer Service and Technical teams to deliver the best possible result for our customers.\nWhat we're looking for\nWe’re looking for someone who is a natural leader and takes ownership. You’ll be comfortable making decisions, setting priorities and getting involved when needed.\nYou’ll ideally bring:\nPrevious experience leading and developing a small team.\nA strong customer service and commercial mindset.\nSales or face-to-face customer experience.\nExperience within operations, distribution, warehousing or a similar environment.\nGood inventory and stock management knowledge.\nStrong communication and organisational skills.\nConfidence using systems such as Microsoft 365, WMS, CRM and ERP platforms.\nA proactive, positive approach to problem solving.\nAn understanding of operational, financial and EHS compliance.\nA valid clean driving licence.
