You will report to the Industrial Coatings Sr. EHS Leader and help drive best practices to sustain our EHS mission and vision.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG requirements and policies.\n\nProvide leadership and direction for EHS training.\n\nEvaluate the EHS Impacts of capital projects and assure EHS risk assessments are completed.\n\nDrive key safety initiatives including Job Safety Analysis, site safety risk assessments, risk mitigation, and Management of Change.\n\nSupport site management and provide coaching and review of incident investigations and corrective actions through 5-Why and other incident investigation methods.\n\nProvide oversight, audit readiness and mentorship for compliance audits and corrective action management.\n\nParticipate in emergency response activities.\n\nDevelop programs to reduce EHS risks and to comply with regulatory and PPG corporate requirements and management systems.\n\nComplete and submit Federal, State, and Local environmental reports such as the OSHA logs, and be responsible for site permits.\n\nAssist with oversight of the Waste Management Program (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal).\n\nHelp develop leading indicators that drive continuous improvement in sustainability metrics (energy, water, waste), spill incidents, injuries and the EHS Management System.\n\nQualifications\nA Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering or a related science.\n\n2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment; Chemical industry exposure would be advantageous; Open to internship level candidates.\n\nStrong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, Workers' Compensation), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews and incident investigation techniques.\n\nKnowledge in organizational change and building a safety culture through influence and engagement.\n\nDemonstrated strength in collaborating with colleagues and leaders across all levels of the organization.\n\nPPG offers comprehensive benefits such as Health, Dental, Life, Retirement Plan, Paid Vacation & Holidays, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Disability/Leave, and other Voluntary benefit offerings.\nAbout us:\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD ®\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
