The role also includes providing support to a secondary facility located in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. You will provide direction and training to provide a safe and healthful workplace for our team while ensuring compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations to minimize all risk. You will report to the Senior EHS Manager, Coating Services.\nCome make an impact with PPG!\nMain Responsibilities\nEnsure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG requirements.\nGuide injury prevention and spill elimination programs.\nProvide direction for EHS training.\nOversight and completion of the industrial hygiene program.\nSubmit workers' compensation documentation for work related injuries and help manage cases.\nProvide technical guidance for the facility-wide MOC program.\nEvaluate the EHS Impacts of capital projects and assure EHS risk assessments are completed.\nProvide oversight, audit readiness and mentorship for compliance audits and corrective action management.\nLead emergency response activities.\nPartner with environmental Center of Excellence for environmental aspects.\nDevelop programs to reduce EHS risks and to comply with regulatory and PPG corporate requirements and management systems.\nComplete and submit Federal, State, and Local environmental reports such as the OSHA logs, and be responsible for site permits.\nOversight of the Waste Management Program (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal).\nHelp develop leading indicators that improve sustainability metrics (energy, water, waste), spill incidents, injuries and the EHS Management System.\nQualifications\nA Bachelor's degree in a related field.\n3+ years of related EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.\nUnderstanding of safety and environmental regulations and agreement standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, Workers' Compensation), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident prevention, incident investigation techniques.\nAct as advisor to management and employees across a variety of issues.\nKnowledge in organizational change and building a safety culture through influence and engagement.\nTravel up to 30% to secondary location.
