You will lead Process Safety activities for all locations in EMEA, ensuring that locations are legally compliant and satisfy PPG Process Safety procedures, standards and processes. You will provide leadership and technical expertise to achieve corporate goals for process safety performance and ensures compliance with policies and applicable regulations. You will establish an effective management system for Process Safety tasks and for assuring that all the required Process Safety documents are maintained per regulatory and/or PPG requirements.\nWe ask that you have flexibility (up to 25%) to travel to different locations within the EMEA region.\nYou will report to the Global Process Safety Manager.\nKey Responsibilities\n· Support site EHS, Process Safety, and Operations teams to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG requirements.\n· Coordinate activities related to completion and maintenance of Process Hazards Analysis for USCA manufacturing locations. Facilitate or participate on process safety reviews, including FMEA, Process Hazards Analysis (PHA e.g. HAZOP), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Facility Siting Analysis across the region. Provide technical support to the region with the facilitation of these risk assessments.\n· Identify and assist implementing risk reduction projects to prevent major accidents, explosions, fires, and spills in USCA manufacturing locations.\n· Identify process safety training needs and organize training with support (if needed) of PPG Experts/Engineers/Coordinators or external partners.\n· Coordinate activities related to Process Safety integration for new acquired sites.\n· Review critical audit, inspection, and accident reports and recommend and work with sites to implement corrective actions to eliminate recurrence.\n· Ensure coordination and agreement of Process Safety projects at the EMEA level through regular meetings & communication to all levels of Operations.\n· Monitor the application of the PSM key performance indicators, ensure compliance and interpret and report results, and work with sites to ensure actions are taken to reduce or eliminate program gaps.\n· Support implementation and maintenance of MOC and PHA programs.\n· Identify latest issues (such as regulation changes) within the country and communicate them to affected parties.\n· Network with other region process safety managers to foster adoption of best practices.\nQualifications\n· A Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, PSM, or related Science discipline.\n· 10 or more years of experience in a PSM covered facility within major hazard facility.\n· 5 years' experience managing and implementing PSM programs at a complex facility.\n· Significant Risk Management experience - the facilitation of hazard studies and risk assessments (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA) will be preferred.\n· Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident prevention, incident investigation techniques, and safety and environmental education and training.\nHow we work: At PPG, we bring teams together to accelerate collaboration and career development, with in-person work Monday through Thursday and the opportunity to work remotely on Flexible Fridays.
