By setting clear objectives and aligning team efforts with organizational goals, you will drive delivery excellence, improve operational efficiency, and ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes across the application lifecycle.\nIn this leadership role, your impact will extend beyond technology, you will shape the team culture, elevate performance standards, and drive meaningful business outcomes.\nROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead a global team of fifteen DevOps engineers distributed over different geographies towards the success of different initiatives.\nDevelop and implement the DevOps and DevSecOps strategies, aligning it with the company's goals and objectives.\nEstablish and maintain best practices for infrastructure automation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), monitoring, and release management.\nImplement a Community of Practices (CoP), evangelizing the best practices in different DevOps topics, such as deployment methods, branching strategies, etc.\nDrive automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks, including infrastructure provisioning, release notes, configuration management, and deployment processes.\nImplement and ensure DevOps metrics are met.\nImplement strategy to reduce technical backlog.\nEnsure DevOps guidelines are up-to-date.\nStay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation. Proactively propose and implement innovative solutions to optimize software delivery and deployment.\nParticipate in recruitment of IT support personnel.\nCompliance with regulatory requirements, Security policies, and SOX related activities \nSchedule personnel job duties to provide the necessary coverage.\nOrganize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style. \nProvide regular updates to appropriate managers. \nAssure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.\nDemonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer issues a priority.\nConfer with reporting manager on complex or unusual situations.\nEnsure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e., Security, Health, Safety, and Quality). \nMaintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to PPG or customer-specific. \nAbility to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines. \nUnderstand and embrace the business and IT strategic direction. \nUnderstand business processes and business tools in the current environment. \nProject management as required.\nOrganize 24 / 7 support with the team.\nMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum of three plus (4+) years of experience as a Developer and/or DevOps engineer.\nMinimum of two plus (2+) years leading DevOps teams including setting roadmaps, running agile processes, performance management, conflict resolution, and career development.\nStrong experience and proficiency with DevOps tooling - containers, scripting, source control, and workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, Azure DevOps.\nStrong experience and proficiency creating, enhancing, and maintaining CI/CD processes and tools in Azure Pipelines.\nExperience driving change across organizations as it pertains to the culture of DevOps.\nStrong understanding of monitoring and logging management (e.g., App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana).\nStrong experience in software development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall\nDemonstrated leadership experience.\nProject management experience.\nInterpersonal skills in working with the management and technical teams in a “self-starter” role.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong attention to the detail.\nAbout us:\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
