You will report directly to the Plant Manager and supervise a team of 2-4 maintenance technicians.\nKey Responsibilities\nConfers with management, engineering, quality control, customers and employees to coordinate activities and resolve problems.\nConfers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within departments or between departments; confers with management to achieve budget goals.\nPlans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and maintenance operations to meet needs of facility. Calculates labor and equipment requirements, resolves racking and tooling issues, reads and analyzes charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine maintenance needs.\nHands-on maintenance duties are required and expected.\nTrains new employees and demonstrates equipment operations or work procedures to new employees or assigns employees to experienced workers for training; recommends corrective actions.\nInspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions; interprets specification, blueprints, job orders, and company policy and procedures for employees\nMonitors and patrols entire facility and enforces safety and environmental regulations.\nMonitor gauges, dials, tools, and other indicators to ensure operators conform to necessary standards.\nEnsures preventative maintenance is completed; maintains maintenance records and updates metric system on a timely basis. eMaintenance knowledge helpful.\nRequisitions materials, supplies, equipment parts, repair services; maintains accurate inventory and controls inventory flow.\nUtilizes electronic tracking system for all purchases to ensure budgetary compliance. ePro knowledge helpful.\nWorking knowledge of TS 16949.\nAttends and participates in all needed meetings.\nLarge portion of the duties are EHS related most maintain timeliness with actions.\nQualifications\nAssociates degree in related field and 5+ years of experience OR 7+ years of experience in lieu of degree\nMaintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.\nPrevious people leadership experience\nPurchasing/ accounting code experience\nExperience having EHS responsibilities such as supporting audits, permit compliance and hazardous waste management.\nAutomotive or Coatings experience is preferred\nAbout us:\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD ®\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
