You will be the coordinator of the maintenance leads and technicians to the assigned and situational work across the site and is the leader providing a productive work culture and environment to the team to achieve the objectives of the Maintenance organization. This is an onsite position at our Cambridge facility. You will report to the Maintenance Manager.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance personnel in a unionized environment.\n\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.\n\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, TPM, and lean manufacturing practices.\n\nTroubleshoot and maintain equipment including mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.\n\nSchedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.\n\nCollaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.\n\nTrain and mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of learning and growth.\n\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.\n\nSupport capital projects and equipment installations as needed.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma is required.\n\nCertified Trade: Millwright or Electrician (Red Seal preferred).\n\n5+ years of lead technician experience or in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting is an asset.\n\nMinimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.\n\nStrong understanding of unionized work environments and labor relations.\n\nProficient in PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley preferred).\n\nFamiliarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).\n\nPrior experience in manufacturing environments and industries (e.g. automotive, aerospace, chemical, medical devices, pharmaceuticals).\n\nTechnical knowledge on the following systems and equipment: Facilities infrastructure (HVAC, Electric Power distribution, compressed air, water, sewer and other plant utilities), Ovens, other processing equipment (conveyors, machining, mixers, sanders, saws, etc.), and clean room environments.\n\nKnowledge of PLC controls and Robots applications and maintenance, SCADA and MES systems.\n\nDemonstrated success in implementing 5S, lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.\n\nFluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nStrong leadership with a growth-oriented approach to team development and problem-solving.\n\nAbility to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.\n\nSalary Range is between $85K - $105K/year plus annual bonus.\nAbout us:\nHere at PPG we make it happen, and we seek candidates of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our values, with the commitment and drive to strive today to do better than yesterday - everyday.\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
