In this highly visible role, you'll act as a trusted technical advisor, trainer, and operational improvement specialist, helping repair centres maximise productivity, strengthen technical capability, and deliver outstanding repair outcomes.\nThis is a unique opportunity to move beyond day-to-day production work and join a global industry leader, where you'll use your knowledge to influence multiple sites, coach teams, solve complex challenges, and contribute directly to customer success.\nA fully maintained company vehicle is provided for both business and personal use.\nWhat You'll Be Responsible For\nAs the technical link between PPG and our customer network, you will:\nDeliver hands-on technical support, coaching, and guidance across multiple repair facilities.\nTrain and mentor paint and panel teams to improve skills, application techniques, product knowledge, and workshop performance.\nConduct individual and group training sessions, competency assessments, and pre-employment evaluations.\nIdentify operational inefficiencies and production bottlenecks, implementing practical solutions that drive throughput and profitability.\nSupport the successful adoption of PPG products, systems, and best-practice repair processes.\nTroubleshoot technical challenges and provide expert advice to improve repair quality and consistency.\nAssist with paint preparation, mixing, and application activities when operational support is required.\nMaintain workshop equipment including spray guns, UV and IR curing equipment, gun wash systems, and colour management tools.\nBuild strong relationships with site leaders, technicians, and key stakeholders across the MSO network.\nRegularly travel throughout NSW and the ACT to support customer operations.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nIn this role, you'll be recognised for:\nDeveloping high-performing repair teams through coaching and training.\nDriving measurable improvements in productivity and labour efficiency.\nImproving repair quality and process consistency across multiple sites.\nBuilding trusted relationships that position PPG as a genuine partner in customer success.\nIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nAbout You\nWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a passion for helping others succeed.\nYou will bring:\nExtensive experience within a high-volume collision repair, automotive refinishing, or vehicle repair environment.\nStrong knowledge of paint application, repair processes, workshop operations, and industry best practice.\nA proven ability to influence, coach, and develop technical teams.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nStrong commercial awareness and an understanding of productivity, labour efficiency, and workshop performance metrics.\nOutstanding planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.\nA proactive approach with a strong customer focus.\nA current and valid Full driver's license.\nDesirable Experience\nPrevious experience delivering technical training or workplace coaching.\nKnowledge of PPG products, systems, and colour technologies.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence principles.\nExperience supporting multi-site repair operations.\nAbout us:\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD ®\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
