We are looking for someone who is able to see the future of aviation transparencies and take our exceptional products to the next level!\nAs the Process Engineer - Aerospace Transparencies you will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting plant process systems including the implementation of process strategies, managing process resources, identifying and optimizing critical process variables and conditions, and maintaining process documentation while focusing on the continuous improvement of manufacturing unit operations resulting in best-in-class safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service standards.\nThis is an on-site role reporting to the Huntsville, AL facility. In this role you will report to the Production Engineering Manager.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as a technical resource for production team in the work cell. Work closely with operators to eliminate barriers to production. Provide technical support for day-to-day operations.\nResponsible for driving improvement and maximizing productivity among the products and processes.\nGuide team in problem-solving and improvement projects through organized and structured methods such as root cause, fishbone, and 5-why.\nPriorities include improving product quality, increasing process capacity, reducing variation within product and process, reducing cycle times and setup times, and adopting new technologies to modernize manufacturing processes\nTrack and analyze relevant production metrics within work cell. Utilize production data to identify opportunities for improvement and track progress.\nCollaborate with quality team, design engineering team, new product development team, safety team, analytical lab, operators, and other manufacturing engineers on a regular basis to resolve problems, improve manufacturing processes, and improve safety of the work environment.\nQualifications:\nOnly U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline required.\nThree (3) or more years of experience within engineering or an equivalent environment required.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment required.\nLean and/or six sigma experience preferred.\nAbility to effectively work with floor level operators, manufacturing, quality and design engineering teams to drive positive change.\nPPG offers comprehensive benefits such as Health, Dental, Life, Retirement Plan, Paid Vacation & Holidays, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Disability/Leave, and other Voluntary benefit offerings.
