You will improve plant processes, troubleshoot production issues, lead continuous improvement projects, and support capital projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.\nUsing your hands-on manufacturing experience, you will lead projects that improve process reliability, product quality, operational efficiency, and safety. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate technical expertise into measurable business and operational outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide daily process engineering support for manufacturing operations.\nTroubleshoot production, quality, and process issues to minimize downtime and improve throughput.\nLead process optimization projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, yield, and cost reduction.\nAnalyze process data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\nSupport root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.\nParticipate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and risk reduction projects.\nDevelop process documentation, operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and engineering standards.\nPartner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams to improve manufacturing performance.\nSupport process control strategies, automation projects, alarms, and interlocks to improve process reliability.\nSupport capital projects including scope development, cost estimates, equipment specification, installation, and startup activities.\nMonitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs including throughput, yield, scrap, OEE, quality, and downtime.\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects across the plant.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline. \n3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing, production, chemical, coatings, industrial, consumer products, plastics, food, building products, or similar plant environment.\nAbout us:\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD ®\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
