As a Sales Assistant / Storeperson, you'll prepare customer orders, manage stock and support daily branch operations, with the opportunity to learn paint tinting and colour matching as part of your development.
Enjoy a rostered Monday to Friday then Tuesday to Saturday, with ongoing training and the support of a global company that's been protecting and beautifying the world for more than 140 years.
No paint experience? No problem. Full product and systems training will be provided.

How you'll make an impact
Working as part of our Townsville team, you'll help ensure products move safely and efficiently through the branch while delivering great service to our customers. You'll:
- Prepare, pick, pack and process customer orders accurately and on time
- Load and unload incoming deliveries
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Maintain warehouse safety standards and follow all PPG EHS requirements
- Assist with stock control and inventory management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that help us work smarter, safer and more efficiently
- Serve customers at the trade counter when required
- Answer customer enquiries and process orders
- Work closely with the wider branch team to support daily operations
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse and store environment
How you'll thrive
You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy and likes being part of a team that supports each other.
We're looking for someone with warehousing experience who is also happy to step in and help customers when needed. Paint industry experience isn't essential. We'll provide training on our products, systems and processes.
To thrive in this role, you'll:
- Have some proven experience in a warehousing or similar environment
- Be confident using computers, with SAP experience highly regarded
- Ideally have experience in a trade desk, trade warehouse or similar environment
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Enjoy delivering excellent customer service
- Be willing to learn new skills, including paint tinting and colour matching
- Work well as part of a close-knit team
- Be comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet throughout the day
- Hold a current driver's licence
- Hold a current forklift licence, or be willing to obtain one
