This role is supporting strategic decision-making, driving financial transparency, and leading the standardization and centralization of FP&A and controlling activities across our Strategic Business Units (SBUs).\nKey Responsibilities:\nControlling & Reporting\nOwn the monthly closing cycle, reporting packages, and key performance metrics for assigned SBU and location.\nAnalyze and communicate financial results, including variance analysis, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.\nPrepare and present monthly segment/channel/customer profitability reports (MCSs).\nForecasting & Planning\nLead and support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.\nBuild weekly/monthly estimates in collaboration with business teams.\nDevelop business cases for strategic initiatives, including capital investments (ACTs).\nBusiness Partnering & Decision Support\nServe as a strategic finance partner to SBU leaders, commercial teams, and marketing stakeholders.\nDeliver insightful financial analysis, scenario modeling, and recommendations to support business decisions.\nTranslate complex financial data into clear narratives and actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.\nProcess Excellence & COE Transformation\nDrive standardization, simplification, and automation of financial processes across SBUs.\nContribute to the implementation of new tools, systems, and best practices within the Finance COE.\nSupport the centralization of FP&A and controlling activities, ensuring consistency and scalability.\nAd-Hoc Projects\nProvide ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling as required by senior management.\nCollaborate on cross-functional initiatives and transformation projects.\nQualifications & Experience:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.\nMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in FP&A, controlling, or business finance.\nProven ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across functions.\nStrong analytical mindset with commercial awareness and business acumen.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust and credibility.\nAdvanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems (HFM, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP/data warehouse tools).\nExperience in a multinational or matrix organization is a plus.\nHow we work: At PPG, we bring teams together to accelerate collaboration and career development, with in-person work Monday through Thursday and the opportunity to work remotely on Flexible Fridays.
