You will achieve this through the structured execution of innovation and continuous improvement projects. Additionally, you will provide specialized technical support collaboration, and ensure throughout the entire product lifecycle. All of these efforts will be in compliance with our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) standards.\nYou will reporto to Technical Manager.\nKey Responsibilities\nCreate pigment-based coatings and dispersions that meet the color requirements of internal and external customers.\n\nEnsure that developed formulations comply with critical performance and regulatory requirements established by internal and external customers.\n\nCollaborate on color development, adjustment, and optimization projects throughout the entire product lifecycle.\n\nCollaborate on the development, adjustment, optimization, and manufacturing support of intermediates and dispersions.\n\nCommunicate with internal customers throughout project execution.\n\nYou will provide technical support, consultation, and training related to product development, color science, and pigments to members of the organization.\n\nGuide technicians and formulators through the requirements of customers' new product development and launch processes to ensure successful completion of each project milestone.\n\nPromote and follow a structured approach to project execution, applying all available methodological and technological tools.\n\nYou will implement strategies, working with technicians and fellow formulators.\n\nParticipate in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) projects and continuous improvement programs.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.\n\nDemonstrated experience of at least 5 years in color design and development projects within the automotive industry.\n\nDemonstrated experience in paint manufacturing processes, including grinding and milling operations.\n\nAdvanced theoretical and practical knowledge of color evaluation (visual and instrumental), pigment selection, Design of Experiments (DOE), and formulation of both waterborne and solventborne technologies.\n\nGeneral theoretical and practical knowledge of coating application processes (automated and manual).\n\nGeneral knowledge of automotive quality tools and methodologies.\n\nColor discrimination ability.\n\nConversational English proficien\n\nWork onsite #LI-Onsite\n\nAbout us:\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD ®\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
