PQ's products are used in a wide variety of industrial processes and many customer products, from decorative paints to green cement, from clean drinking water to green tires and from toothpaste to biofuels and beer.\n Responsible for the efficient, cost effective maintenance repair and preventive maintenance of all equipment, buildings and facilities.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nPerforms mechanical and electrical repair of all equipment associated with operations.\nInstalls machinery, pipes, structural steel, etc. at a multi-plant location.\nSpecify and purchase replacement parts and equipment.\nHelps maintain correct stockroom inventory.\nReceives and carries out directions accurately and efficiently.\nOperates in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.\nKnows and complies with all corporate/plant policies and procedures.\nDemonstrates commitement to Responsible Care in every day activities.\nDirects all or portions of maintenance work crew or in concert with others as directed.\nInterprets and reacts to instrumentation readings to control the process.\nDiagnoses problems and determines course of action to solve or correct situation.\nMaintains housekeeping.\nAbility to self direct assignments and complete in a safe and efficient manner.\nAdditional Duties & Responsibilities\nParticipates in plant-wide HSE, quality and productivity initiatives.\nParicipates on the Safety Committee on a voluntary rotational basis.\nParticipates in HSE activities (i.e., Toolbox meetings, accident investigations, hazard IDs, etc.)\nPerforms special projects or other duties as directed.\n Education:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nCompletion of Four Technical Trade Courses (Apprentice Program)\nElectrical Knowledge 480V MCC Buckets - Troubleshooting and Minor Repairs\nWelding Experience\nExperience:\nIndustrial Maintenance Experience 5+ Years Preferred\nExperience working on Industrial Conveying Systems; Screw, Trays, Rollers, Belt, Elevators, Screen-boxes, Etc.\nExperience working on Pumps; Centrifugal, Gear, Rotary, Submersible, Diaphragm, Etc.\nExperience working on Cartridge Seals, Air Seals, Packing, Etc.\nExperience in Pipe Fitting; Threaded, Welded, Compression, Etc.\nExperience working on Agitators, Airlocks, Bagger Unit, Etc.\nExperience working with Shop Tools; Drill Press, Hydraulic Press, Band Saw, Belt Sander, Weld Machine, Etc.\nExperience in Coupling/Shafts Alignments and their tools\nSkills & Knowledge:\nPass a Mechanical Aptitude Test (Written and Hands On)\nAble to follow Written and Verbal Instructions\nAble to Demonstrate Basic Computer Skills\nGood Interpersonal Skills, Work Well within Team Environments\nGood Decision-making Skills (makes decisions, acts upon them, willing to defend decisions over peer pressure)\nMust Demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic (Attendance, Attitude, Etc.)\nUnderstanding of LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, SOP, Etc.\n EHS Responsibilities\nCommunicates, promotes and personally demonstrates Safety/Health (including PQP Principles) as #1 priority\nParticipation in risk assessment audits as applicable\nUnderstand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and procedures\nCompletes HSE training requirements identified for the job in a timely manner\nPQ is an equal opportunity employer.
