Candidates should hold a degree in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent. We hope that you have at least 7 years of experience, but also an open, research-oriented mindset. *This is a highly technical role, and you will sit at the critical intersection of software, firmware, and hardware architecture, hence you must have experience with embedded software, security architecture, and/or digital design. We would welcome applications from Engineers, Security Architects, Design Engineers who are looking to move into Product Management. \nWe have been established since 2018, so you would be directly working with the founders and inventors of this deep tech startup. Technology is already a couple of years in the making, its feasibility having been established, funding secured, and it has a clear path to market. This is a great opportunity for career progression and to get a head start in a rapidly expanding segment of the semiconductor industry (Post-Quantum Cryptography and RISC-V). Our platform IP components come together as a RISC-V MCU based Sub-system with advanced\n post-quantum) cryptography algorithm support and security features.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nWork with key customers and ecosystem partners to integrate our security solutions into broader system architectures.\nAct as the primary bridge between hardware engineering, software/firmware teams, security architects, and business stakeholders.\nAbility to critically prioritize product backlogs, balance technical debt with commercial features, and make tough trade-offs between area, power, performance, and security (PPAS).\nAuthor comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and technical specifications that translate complex cryptographic standards into actionable hardware engineering requirements.\nDefine and drive the multi-year product roadmap for hardware security IPs and cryptographic solutions, aligning with market trends and customer requirements.\nConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market opportunities, and industry trends related to Post-Quantum Cryptography for platform security and hardware accelerators\nDefine product requirements, features, and roadmaps for our entire product portfolio of hardware products based on customer feedback, market insights, and latest technology developments\nWork closely with tech leads and sales to align product roadmaps\nMeasure product performance utilising data from internal and other data sources\nContinuous improvement of our product development processes\nRequired Skills And Qualifications\nProven hands-on experience with integration of hardware security IP and architectures such as Arm, RISC-V, or x86, TRNG, PUF, masking, blinding, etc.\nSystem architect mind set able to envision products with end-to-end security integration.\nStrong understanding of the semiconductor industry products, security IP market dynamics, and related technologies\nSolid understanding of modern silicon manufacturing processes, physical design constraints, and post-silicon bring-up/validation.\nDeep familiarity with SoC (System-on-Chip) architecture, bus protocols (AXI, AHB), and hardware-software interfaces.\nA background that includes transitioning from a Hardware Design/Verification Enginee or Security Architect into Product Management.\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications\nTrack record of successfully launching and managing complex security IP products throughout their lifecycle.\nExperience with hardware security industry standards\nExperience with hardware security certifications\nKnowledge of Industry standard SoC Security Architectures\nKnowledge of tamper resistance and/or power side-channel security countermeasures\nExperience working on secure element or smart cards designs.\nExperience using Gitlab CI, or otherwise principles of continuous integration and testing.\nSome of the perks of working with us:\nUnparalleled opportunities to learn and accelerated career development.\nA collaborative, team environment with people who truly love what they do.\nCompetitive salary and share option scheme.\nFlexible and hybrid working, and a working from home budget.\nPrivate health insurance for yourself and your family.\n25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and two wellness weeks).\n50% gym membership discount.\nThe chance to work with a spirited, smart, and friendly team!\n\nPQShield is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
