We are looking for a Bank Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Ilford.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated pharmacy team, supporting the safe and effective delivery of medicines management services across the hospital. As a Bank colleague, you'll enjoy flexible working arrangements while helping to deliver outstanding care and an excellent patient experience.\nAs our Bank Pharmacy Technician, you'll support the delivery of pharmacy services across the hospital, ensuring patients have timely access to medicines and pharmaceutical care. Working closely with the Site Lead Pharmacist and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to medicines management, dispensing services, stock control and patient counselling activities.\nYou'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care, supporting governance and audit processes, and ensuring medicines are stored, supplied and managed safely and effectively.\nThis role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option-but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.\n.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs our Bank Pharmacy Technician, you will be:\nSupporting the delivery of a safe, high-quality pharmacy service. \nDispensing medicines accurately and in accordance with agreed procedures and standards. \nProviding medicines management support to inpatient and outpatient areas. \nSupporting patients with medication counselling and information. \nMaintaining controlled drug records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. \nManaging stock levels, ordering medicines and supporting stock audits. \nAssisting with medicines management audits, projects and data collection. \nSupporting pharmacy governance, quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities.\nWorking collaboratively with pharmacists, nurses, consultants and wider healthcare teams. \nAssisting in the induction and support of new pharmacy colleagues. \nWhat we’ll look for in you\nWith your NVQ Level 3, BTEC or equivalent Pharmacy Technician qualification and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), you will also have:\nRelevant post-qualification experience within a pharmacy environment. \nExperience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nGood IT skills and computer literacy.\nStrong communication and patient counselling skills. \nAbility to work accurately and safely within established procedures. \nEvidence of continuing professional development.\nExperience using pharmacy or healthcare software systems - desirable. \nExperience contributing to service audits and quality improvement initiatives - desirable. \nWhat you can expect in return;\nA bank rate of £18.50 per hour\nFlexible shifts to suit your availability\nSupportive working environment\nThe chance to make a real difference to patients and colleagues alike\nTo apply for the role, click on the link below.
