- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, TCP/IP, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with Git, version control, and pull-request workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to debugging technical issues.
- Willingness to learn, collaborate, and participate in production support activities.
Good to Have :
- Exposure to AWS through internships, projects, certifications, or professional experience.
- Familiarity with Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar platforms.
- Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with MySQL administration.
- Understanding of messaging systems such as Amazon SQS or Kafka.
- Personal infrastructure projects, homelab experience, open-source contributions, or relevant technical certifications.
What Success Looks Like :
- First 30 days : Understand the deployment workflow and contribute initial changes to Helm charts or CI/CD pipelines.
- First 90 days : Independently handle routine deployments, service onboarding, and basic alert triage, with guidance available for production incidents.
- First 6 months : Take ownership of a small platform component or operational area and automate at least one recurring manual task.
