Their platform operates on distributed bare-metal infrastructure with advanced automation, delivering sovereign, high-performance compute for modern workloads.\nWe are seeking a Senior / Lead Android Engineer (Staff-level mindset) with strong expertise in building robust, scalable Android applications. This role is highly technical, focusing on mobile system design, performance, and seamless interaction with distributed backend systems.\nYou will play a key role in designing and evolving Android applications that interface with a decentralized cloud platform. You will collaborate closely with backend, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and secure mobile experiences. Autonomy, ownership, and strong architectural judgment are essential.\nYour Responsibilities\nDesign and develop high-performance Android applications using Kotlin.\n\nArchitect scalable and maintainable mobile solutions with strong emphasis on performance.\n\nBuild intuitive, responsive UIs aligned with modern Android design principles.\n\nIntegrate applications with backend services and distributed systems.\n\nEnsure efficient data synchronization, offline support, and network resilience.\n\nOptimize apps for performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency.\n\nMaintain high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation.\n\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum processes and contribute to planning and delivery.\n\nOwn the full mobile lifecycle from development to Play Store deployment.\n\nCollaborate with backend and infrastructure teams for seamless integration.\n\nImplement mobile security best practices and secure data handling.\n\nConduct code reviews, mentor team members, and improve engineering standards.\n\nDrive best practices in Android architecture, CI/CD, and release processes.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5-6+ years of experience as a Senior or Lead Android Engineer.\n\nStrong expertise in Kotlin and Android SDK.\n\nExperience with modern Android architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture).\n\nDeep understanding of Android performance optimization and lifecycle management.\n\nStrong experience integrating RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming (Coroutines, Flow).\n\nFamiliarity with data persistence (Room, SQLite) and caching strategies.\n\nExperience with testing frameworks and debugging tools.\n\nExperience working in Agile teams.\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile release processes.\n\nExperience with mobile security (secure storage, encryption, authentication).\n\nKnowledge of distributed systems or cloud platforms.\n\nExperience in deep-tech, infrastructure, or performance-critical environments.\n\nFamiliarity with observability and mobile analytics tools.\n\nWhy Join Us\nOur client is redefining cloud infrastructure through decentralization and advanced automation, offering a sovereign, energy-efficient alternative to hyperscale cloud providers.
