You will help ensure the stability, security, availability, and continuous improvement of the platform.\nUnder the supervision of the IT Infrastructure Team Lead, you will administer, monitor, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments. You will work closely with the storage, backup, network, security, operating-system, application, and service-management teams. You will also support alternative platforms such as Nutanix, Microsoft Hyper-V, and OLVM/KVM as required.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who is methodical, service-oriented, and quick to learn. You will resolve incidents and requests, implement approved changes, maintain platform health, security, capacity, and lifecycle compliance, and automate routine tasks. You will work independently on assigned operational tasks while following established procedures and change-management controls. Complex, architectural, or high-risk matters are escalated to senior engineers or the Team Lead.\nWhat You’ll Do\nInstall, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.\n\nSupport Nutanix, Hyper-V, and OLVM/KVM environments as required.\n\nPerform VMware lifecycle patching, host updates, and approved configuration changes.\n\nImplement virtualization solutions that meet the customer’s operational needs.\n\nApply security best practices and maintain compliance with applicable standards.\n\nMonitor the health and performance of virtual machines and hosts.\n\nTune environments and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.\n\nTroubleshoot virtualization issues and resolve incidents and problems while minimizing service disruption.\n\nMaintain scripts and tools that streamline administration, provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.\n\nKeep current with virtualization technologies and assess improvements, including through proof-of-concept deployments.\n\nWork with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to plan and deliver virtualization projects under the Team Lead’s guidance.\n\nProvide timely updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.\n\nGuide junior colleagues in established practices.\n\nMaintain infrastructure and process documentation, and report regularly on platform health, performance, and capacity.\n\nProvide on-call/standby support on a rotation basis.\n\nProvide ad hoc support within or beyond the team, including special projects or temporary service-delivery assignments, as requested.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and operating enterprise-grade virtualization infrastructure in production environments.\n\nProven hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).\n\nExperience with VMware VCF, including VCF Operations and VCF Automation core components.\n\nExposure to alternative virtualization platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V and KVM.\n\nStrong scripting and automation skills using tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.\n\nHands-on experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform to provision and manage virtual infrastructure, particularly VMware vSphere resources.\n\nProficiency with command-line tools for managing virtualized systems.\n\nSound understanding of storage, networking, backup, server hardware, and operating-system dependencies.\n\nMethodical troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve incidents with minimal service disruption.\n\nAbility to follow established procedures and change-management controls.\n\nSecondary school education or equivalent, supplemented by specialized IT training.\n\nProfessional proficiency in English, both verbal and written.\n\nTeamwork: builds effective relationships and resolves conflicts constructively.\n\nCommunication: communicates clearly, listens actively, and shares information effectively in writing and conversation.\n\nAbility to work Protection (CDP) solutions.\n\nKnowledge of Spanish.\n\nVMware Certified Professional (VCP-VCF Administrator, VCAP-VCF, or similar).\n\nHashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, or a relevant Red Hat Ansible Automation certification.\n\nITIL, ISO 20000, or PRINCE2 Foundation certifications.\n\nWorking Conditions\nTeleworking: up to 5 days per week\n\nOn-call: one week per month (rotation depends on the number of team members)\n\nOvertime must be pre-approved by the client Team Leader\n\nOvertime rates: 125% of the daily rate Monday to Saturday, and 150% on Sundays and client public
