Working overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required.\nPosition Overview\nThe Purchasing/ Inventory Clerk shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:\nManaging daily ordering, tracks stock levels, and reconciles incoming and outgoing materials to keep business and warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently.\nKey Responsibilities\nConducting end-of-month counts of ingredients and packaging.\nEntering daily intercompany transfers as well as inbound receipts of ingredients and packaging into AS400 system.\nRecognizing inconsistencies, checking your own work, identifying any anomalies, and communicating with proper personnel to resolve them.\nClosing out monthly reports in support of financials.\nDocumenting retention and retrieval for audits. \nMaintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels.\nMonitoring stock levels and placing orders for supplies and materials as needed.\nAssisting with other purchasing and inventory related tasks as needed.\nPlace orders for supplies and materials as needed.\nCoordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery or orders.\nPerform regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.\nRequired Qualifications\n18 years of age.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\nPreferred Qualifications\n1+ years of experience in purchasing or inventory management. \nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.\nExperience with inventory management software.\nExperience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. \nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nBasic math and reading skills.\nProficient and accurate in data entry.\nWork well with numbers.\nGood phone and computer etiquette. \nRequired Soft Skills:\nAbility to work without direct supervision.\nExcellent verbal communication skills.\nExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.\nCoachable and willing to learn.\nAbility to multitask. \nCompetency\nAnalytical skills for data interpretation.\nStrategic thinking to develop category plans. \nNegotiation and relationship management to work with suppliers.\nStrong communication skills for collaborating with various stakeholders.\nWorking Conditions\n(S)he will be required to sit and stand for long periods of time. \nWill be required to lift and move large amounts of paperwork (boxes of files). \nWill be required to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data.\nAbout Prairie Farms - “Farmer Owned.
