This role applies advanced technical knowledge of manufacturing processes to evaluate product specifications, develop cost models, and support profitable quoting decisions. This is a senior-level individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibility.\nKey Responsibilities: \nCore Estimating\nPrepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for RFQs\nReview engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models\nDevelop cost models including labor, materials, overhead, and tooling\nValidate routing and process assumptions with Engineering and Operations\nEstimate cost impact of design changes and engineering revisions\n\nProfitability & Analysis\nEnsure quotes align with established margin targets\nSupport review of pricing prior to submission\nPerform post-award cost validation and basic variance analysis\nProvide cost analysis support to Finance as requested\n\nCollaboration\nCoordinate RFQ activity between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain\nParticipate in technical reviews and program kick-off meetings\nSummarize key cost drivers and assumptions for internal stakeholders\n\nProcess Support\nMaintain estimating tools, templates, and cost databases\nIdentify opportunities to improve quoting accuracy and efficiency\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s/Associate’s degree, or certificates in fields Engineering, Finance, or related field\n5+ years of experience in quoting, estimating, costing, programming, or manufacturing engineering. Relevant experience will be considered in absence of degree.\nStrong understanding of machining and medical device manufacturing processes\nDemonstrated experience leading complex RFQs\nStrong blueprint reading and CAD familiarity\nAdvanced financial acumen and margin analysis capability\nProven cross-functional leadership skills\nStrong analytical and organizational skills\n\n Preferred Qualifications: \nExperience in regulated medical manufacturing environment\nExperience with ERP systems (IFS ideally)\nExperience supporting customer negotiations\nLean or continuous improvement experience\nCAD and blueprint reading expertise\nCompensation and Benefits Overview\nStarting Pay Range for this position is $90,000-$115,000 annually. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s bonus program.\nMinimum pay rates offered will comply with applicable county or city regulations if they exceed the listed range.
