As a Software Engineer in a product development organization, you will be part of the team that designs and develops Java applications in the enterprise domain. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and other software developers to deliver product features. A strong grasp of agentic AI systems and AI-assisted coding workflows is required to thrive in this role.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Go applications\nWrite unit tests and implement API automation tests.\nCollaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to deliver product features\nIndependently analyze and resolve software issues in collaboration with technical staff\nAddress customer-reported issues and contribute to product improvements and enhancements\nContribute to design optimizations, performance tuning, and future technical initiatives\nProactively identify risks and support early mitigation strategies\nImprove code quality and address non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and reliability\nPerform code reviews and help improve engineering processes\nDesign and implement agentic AI workflows, including multi-step autonomous agents, tool use, and LLM orchestration within enterprise Java applications; leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) as a standard part of the development workflow\nWhat we are looking for:\nRequired:\nBE/ BTech/ MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from an accredited institution (equivalent work experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement)\n2-4 years of experience in software development with a strong product development background\nGood understanding of design and architectural patterns with hands-on application experience\nExperience in developing and consuming REST APIs for modern, scalable web applications\nStrong knowledge of Java and Go\nExperience with cloud databases such as MongoDB\nStrong understanding of SQL Server, including writing SQL scripts and stored procedures\nProficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code) and the ability to use them effectively to write, review, and refactor production-quality code\nTravel is required: No\n AI Skills/Knowledge:\nExperience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor);\nuses AI for code review, documentation, and test generation;\nfamiliarity with LLM APIs or agentic workflows; understands responsible AI principles including bias, security, and explainability\nPreferred Skills: \nSpring, Java, SQL, Kafka, Go Lang.\nExperience with AWS services, API Gateway, MongoDB, and Kafka\nKnowledge of Google Add-ons\nApplication and Interview Impersonation Notice: Impersonating another individual when applying for employment, and/or participating in an interview process to assist another individual in obtaining employment, with Precisely Software Incorporated (“Precisely”) is unlawful.
