This position focuses on the precise reassembly and testing of overhauled or repaired parts, ensuring they meet OEM and FAA standards for quality and airworthiness.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nEssential Job Functions:\nPerform final assembly and build-up of landing gear components, subassemblies, and full assemblies per OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and work instructions.\nInstall seals, O-rings, hardware, bushings, bearings, and fittings using appropriate tools and calibrated equipment.\nTorque hardware to specified values and record all critical measurements and readings.\nEnsure proper alignment, fitment, and functionality of all parts during assembly.\nPerform hydraulic shock strut test, gap checks, and other test as required.\nCollaborate with Quality teams to complete in-process and final inspections.\nTag and prepare completed assemblies for shipment or return to customer.\nMaintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, serial numbers, and inspection results.\nFollow all safety guidelines and ensure a clean and organized work area.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly area.\nPerform other work-related duties as assigned.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nPhysical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.\nEquipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines and equipment and troubleshoot problems with equipment.\nWork Location: Trace Aviation Flowood, MS\nProtective Equipment Required: Must wear appropriate PPE and work in a shop environment\nEducation/Training: High school diploma or equivalent required, technical school or A&P license a plus.\nQualifications:\n2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace or MRO.\nProficient with hand tools, torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, and alignment tools.\nAbility to interpret and follow CMMs, blueprints, and detailed work instructions.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and high attention to detail.\nFamiliarity with FAA Part 145 repair station procedures is preferred.\nTeam player with strong communication and time management skills.\nCertificates/Licenses: A&P License preferred but not required.\nOther: Other duties may be assigned to support other departments, personnel or projects\nWe offer competitive pay and a wide variety of benefits.
