Perform assays according to SOPs and support development of new procedures and improvement of existing SOPs. May perform other cell based assays. Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff, as a part of a matrix. Duties also include preparation of validation protocols, SOPs, written reports, and data presentations.\nEssential functions of the job include but are not limited to:\nPerform Flow cytometry primarily, as well as, other immune assays\nPerform experiments, independently and accurately analyze and present data\nAssist in establishing and improving all procedures and required SOP documentation\nIdentify, update and implement emerging laboratory techniques\nMaintain and support safe lab practices and environment\nAct as a scientific resource externally to clients and internally\nAssists with writing, reviewing and editing contract and grant applications/proposals as appropriate.\nMay present completed work at appropriate scientific meetings and in publications\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nMinimum Required:\nMaster’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field with 2+ years’ relevant lab experience or\nBachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field with 8+ years’ relevant lab experience\nOther Required:\nExperience with flow cytometry assays using both whole blood or isolated cells\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required\nThe ability to organize and analyze data and assist in preparation of reports\nMust possess strong computational skills, preferably experienced with Word, Excel, Power Point, GraphPad Prism, Diva, and Flowjo\nExcellent use of judgment and discretion required\nExtended work hours may be occasionally necessary in order to meet business demands\nThe ability to see and differentiate between colors on the full color spectrum\nAbility to lift and carry between 1-15 lbs.; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. overhead with assistance; frequently required to sit, grasp, and use right/left finger dexterity; May be exposed to a cold freezer environment (Freezer temperatures range between -20ºC -196ºC)\nMust be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language\nOther Preferred:\nA solid understanding of current GLP, GDP or CAP/CLIA/ISO standards\nExperience with FACS techniques\nExperience in cell-mediated immunity through flow cytometry, as well as, ELISpot, ELISA, MSD, and/or Luminex\nPrecision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
