Description:\n\nASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR\nJOB PURPOSE\n\nTo support the internal audit function by assessing internal controls, reviewing financial and operational processes, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures and applicable regulations.\n\nREPORTING LINES\n\nReports to: Internal Auditor / Internal Audit Manager.\n\nSupervises: None.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\n\nBachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or a related field.\n\nProfessional accounting or auditing qualifications, such as ACCA, CIMA or ZICA, will be an added advantage.\n\nRelevant experience in internal auditing, accounting or risk management is preferred.\n\nStrong analytical, organisational, communication and report-writing skills.\n\nHigh levels of integrity, attention to detail and confidentiality.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nAssist in planning and conducting internal audits of financial, operational and administrative processes.\n\nReview financial records, transactions, procedures and internal controls to identify weaknesses, errors and potential risks.\n\nAssess compliance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and applicable standards.\n\nGather and analyse audit evidence, maintain working papers and prepare audit findings and reports.\n\nIdentify control deficiencies and recommend practical corrective actions.\n\nFollow up on the implementation of agreed audit recommendations.\n\nAssist in investigating irregularities, suspected fraud and other control breaches when required.\n\nMaintain accurate audit documentation and perform other related duties as assigned.\n\nKEY DELIVERABLES\n\nCompleted audit assignments in accordance with approved audit plans and timelines.\n\nAccurate audit working papers and supporting documentation.\n\nAudit reports detailing findings, identified risks, control weaknesses and recommended corrective actions.\n\nDocumented follow-up reports on the implementation of agreed audit recommendations.\n\nTimely identification and escalation of significant risks, irregularities and control deficiencies.\n\nAccurate and up-to-date audit records to support compliance and effective risk
