This role requires deep, independent expertise in FICO configuration and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on Controlling processes including product costing, cost center accounting, profit center accounting, and profitability analysis. The analyst partners with finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions, ensuring system integrity and alignment with organizational objectives.\nIndependently configure and customize SAP FICO modules (FI and CO) to support evolving business requirements across all regional affiliates.\n\nServe as the subject matter expert for General Ledger accounting, including leading and non-leading ledger concepts, document splitting configuration, and year-end closing activities.\n\nOwn the configuration and troubleshooting of Accounts Payable processes, including Automatic Payment Program (APP), house bank setup, payment methods, and BCM approval workflows.\n\nSupport Accounts Receivable processes, including billing, dunning, credit management, and incoming payment configuration.\n\nMaintain Asset Accounting configuration, including asset classes, depreciation areas, chart of depreciation, and asset lifecycle transactions (acquisition, transfer, retirement).\n\nLead the configuration and support of Controlling processes, including cost center accounting (master data setup, distribution, and assessment cycles), profit center accounting, internal orders, product costing, and profitability analysis (CO-PA).\n\nEnsure proper FI/CO integration with other SAP modules, particularly SD (Sales and Distribution) and MM (Materials Management).\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues across the FICO landscape, managing high-priority incidents through resolution while maintaining SLA compliance.\n\nGather and document business requirements from finance and cross-functional stakeholders for system enhancements and modifications.\n\nDraft functional specifications for enhancements, custom reports, and interface requirements, coordinating with ABAP developers on custom solutions.\n\nWrite and execute test cases across the testing lifecycle (Unit, SIT, UAT, Regression) and document results.\n\nAdvise business users and leadership on SAP FICO capabilities and solution approaches, providing expert functional and process guidance.\n\nCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, process flows, and user guides.\n\nDeliver end-user training and knowledge transfer on SAP FICO processes and system functionality.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, other SAP functional areas, Internal Audit, and PMO, to drive successful solution deployment.\n\nContribute to enterprise application implementation and maintenance activities using agile methodology.\n\nAdhere to all company policies and procedures as applicable.\n\nRequirements\n5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration and functional consulting experience.\n\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field required.\n\nDeep configuration expertise in General Ledger accounting, including leading/non-leading ledgers, document splitting, and year-end closing procedures.\n\nStrong hands-on experience in Controlling (CO), particularly cost center accounting (distribution, assessment, master data setup), profit center accounting, and product costing.\n\nWorking knowledge of Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) configuration and reporting.\n\nSolid understanding of FI/CO integration with SD and MM modules.\n\nProficiency in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA in relation to FICO.\n\nExperience as a key team member on at least two full SAP FICO implementation cycles.\n\nProven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex FICO issues in a production environment.\n\nStrong understanding of financial accounting principles and core business processes in a manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience writing functional specifications and collaborating with ABAP developers on custom solutions.\n\nKnowledge of ABAP debugging for troubleshooting purposes.\n\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.\n\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business users and technical teams.\n\nSelf-motivated and outcome-oriented, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.\n\nSAP FICO certification in relevant functional modules or processes preferred.\n\nExperience with SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation projects preferred.\n\nExperience with Central Finance (CFIN) or multi-system SAP landscapes preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with Vertex or other tax engine integrations preferred.\n\nExperience with electronic banking (EBS, DMEE, SEPA) configuration preferred.\n\nManufacturing experience with exposure to Production Planning (PP) integration points preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with SAP Fiori applications related to finance preferred.\n\nExperience with agile methodology in enterprise application environments
